Meet Mrs. Kemp

 Birthday: September 19th

Education: I graduated in 2007 from Park University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and earned my Master's Degree in Elementary Administration from Northwest Missouri State University in April of 2012.

Years of Experience: This is my 11th year of teaching. The first 3 years I taught 5th grade. I taught a combination class of 4th and 5th grade for 3 years, 3rd and 4th grade for 2 years, 4th grade for 2 years and this year I am back teaching a 4th/5th split! I have only taught at West Englewood. I am an eagle through and through! I also attended elementary (Oakwood Manor), middle (Antioch) and high school (Oak Park) in the North Kansas City School District. Go Northmen!

Family: My husband, Lane and I were married on  May 30, 2010. I have one brother, Alan, who is married to Jennifer, and together they welcomed my beautiful twin niece and nephew, Nora and Jude, on January 1st, 2013. What a way to start the year!  In addition to a husband, I have one dog and one cat. Lane's cat is Annie, and she is only about 9, and is quite the brat of the house! And last but certainly not least, my fur child, Leia. She is MY pride and joy! We fostered then adopted our newest fur baby in September 2016. His name is Rudy. Besides furbabies and my niece and nephew, I have no human babies of my own. I am quite busy with the other children in my life!

Favorite drink: Diet Coke, as my students already  know! It's my coffee and I couldn't begin a day without it!
Favorite animal: My pooch Leia, duh! Isn't she pretty?
