We were inspired by the Apple iPad commercial asking us what our verse would be. There are many versions of "What is your verse" iPad commercials, but the one that stood out to us was the one where citizens of Detroit were asked what they wanted their city to be and they used one word to sum it up on a chalkboard.
We thought about our classroom as our city. What do we want our classroom to be known and remembered for? We brainstormed a list of powerful, descriptive words and choose one word each that spoke to us.
Here is what we created with those words.
