We've Got Our Head in the Game!

We have officially wrapped up week one of MAP testing! 3rd graders have 2 more days of testing and 4th grade has one!
I am so proud of the kids and their focus and determination (and excitement!) for MAP testing. I have heard such positive comments about MAP testing (I'm sure it's because of the treats, snacks and the parade in the morning!)

Our 1st grade buddies decorated our door to help cheer us on as we're working hard on our test!

On Monday April 21, the 3rd, 4th and 5th graders got PEPPED up by the younger students. Our MAP theme is "Get Your Head in the Game" so each class created a sports themed banner to run through. It was a great way to kick off our testing week!

As an extra incentive, students in our class got a little extra treat and motivation cards. These have been quite the hit!
Teachers- I got my little notes here! To print many notes of the same kind, I took screen shots and imported them into a word document. You can see the notes I choose here

Each day after testing, students receive a score on their MAP testing rubric. After testing is done, we celebrate with a MAP Minute to Win It game. Each intermediate teacher chooses a game and students rotate through the classrooms! It's one crazy, fun time!

In addition to all of this fun, each teacher choose a MAP Test MVP for the day. Our class MVP's are:
