As the last day of school before break rolled around, we knew the kids would be anixous and excited for winter break. We wanted to ensure we had fun, but that we also got academics in throughout the day. We had a school wide DEAR (Drop Everything and Read) time. Everyone took their books with them, in case DEAR was announced while out of our classrooms. We happened to be at the bathroom taking a restroom break when the announcement came on!
Even teachers got in on the reading fun!
