Roundtable Writing

We used a Kagan Cooperative Learning Structure in our winter writing. We each got a white sheet of paper and a black sheet. We made a snowman body with only our two hands...no scissors! We then passed our snowman around the table for our teammates to tear sheets of their color to accessorize Mr. or Ms. Snowman! Once we had our snowman complete we realized that we couldn't claim any one snowman as our own, because we all contributed to the completion.

We then passed around a sheet of paper to brainstorm descriptive words, phrases and sentences. From there we will write a descriptive paragraph and create a WANTED! poster for our snowmen!

The giggles, laughter and teamwork were priceless! We will be using this activity in the future!
